Since version 1.6, the plugin can be updated through the administration pages, just like the free plugins from WordPress.org. You will be notified about new versions and can install them by clicking on the update link.
For version up to 1.5.3 and on some multisite installations (which is not the default case - so if you don't know what it means, you probably don't use it), the plugin can only be updated by first removing the previous version.
- You need to be logged in to your WordPress blog as administrator (or network administrator on a multisite installation). Through the admin menu go to Plugins and Installed Plugins.
- Deactivate the Tag Groups Premium plugin. Leave the Tag Groups plugin as it is.
- Delete the Tag Groups Premium plugin. Don't worry, the settings won't be affected.
- Install and activate the new version of the Tag Groups Premium plugin the same way, as you did with the previous version. The easiest way is to upload the new ZIP file that you find inside the new ZIP file from Codester. (Previous buyers receive free updates.)
Each version of the Tag Groups Premium plugin requires a particular minimum version of the free Tag Groups plugin. Therefore, you may see a notice that you need to upgrade the Tag Groups plugin as well. To do this, simply click the update now link in the list of plugins.
