If you successfully assigned your tags to groups in the free version of Tag Groups and these groups don't show up after installing the premium version, the issue is most likely an incomplete migration of the tag meta data.
Please go to the Tag Groups menu, Troubleshooting submenu and the First Aid tab. Then use all of the available buttons, from top to bottom.
